El Greco invites you to the opening of a new exhibition by Constantinos Kalisperas.

Engineered Faith presents a series of sculptural signals in Greek marble and bronze, produced through CNC machining. Materials historically associated with the making of gods, heroes, and idealized bodies are here detached from figuration and reintroduced as abstract, geometric structures.

Rooted in the long continuum of Greek visual culture, the circle and the square operate as primary forms – no longer symbolic representations, but condensed cultural codes. The works do not narrate myth; they articulate structure.

Through a deliberately mechanized process, the absence of the human hand becomes a critical gesture. Marble is cut with algorithmic precision, bronze shaped through repetition and calculation. Sculpture shifts from gesture to system, from image to signal.

These works function as encoded cultural remnants – markers of continuity after representation, form after myth.
