Coming up at Sarah’s Jazz & Blues Club on Wednesday, May 21st, enjoy the graceful music of Tango, Waltz and Ballads with three accomplished musicians!
Elena Mitella is a piano performer who graduated from the Royal Academy of Music, London. She obtained her Master’s degree from Goldsmiths College, London, in Piano Performance. She gave many concerts in Cyprus, England, Austria and Greece. She performed Several Piano Concertos with the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra in Cyprus and Greece, with the last one being the famous Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto nr.2.
Georgia Polyneiki began piano lessons at the age of 8 and singing at 12. She studied music at the National Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria, specialising in classical singing. After completing her postgraduate studies, she taught for three years at the University of Nicosia as a vocal instructor, and since 2008, she has been a member of the Cyprus Police Philharmonic.
Eirini Leoni was born and raised in Athens. She began her violin studies at the age of 5 and graduated from the Contemporary Conservatory of Athens, studying violin with Vladislav Halapsis and music theory with Dimitris Makropodis. She has attended master classes with internationally renowned violin professors and soloists such as E. Grach, S. Kravtchenko, V. Ivanov, A. Revitch, O. Pons, as well as a chamber music master class with D. Kitsos. She then completed her postgraduate studies at the University of Nicosia, earning a “Master of Music” degree under the guidance of Janna Dimont.
