DESCRIPTION:Join us in the opening of the garden\, and enjoy Macumba\, one of the most well-known bands in Cyprus\, in a music cocktail of Brazilian funk\, samba\, rumba and guaguanco afro-cuban\, blended with a modern post-jazz aesthetic\, on Sunday\, 1st of June\, at 7pm. The famous band that is consisted by three Cypriots and one Chilean\, is presenting a different approach to Latin Music\, with an explosive repertoire which includes original songs and some versions of Latin – Jazz.\nBorn in Cyprus\, this excellent band moves towards Latin Jazz and World music directions and paths. The collaboration between Elias Ioannou\, Giorgos Morfitis\, Rodrigo Caceres and Rodos Panayiotou brings a new air to the music scene of the island. Brazilian rhythms and Afrocuban colours get blended through a modern jazz aesthetic and the result is recorded in the album ‘Como Jugando’\, which was released in 2019.\nMacumba have presented their frenzy dance jazz music in various festivals and concert grounds with great success in Cyprus and abroad such as\, UNESCO’s Gardens of Sound Music Festival in Poland\, ATJF Athens Technopolis Jazz Festival\, Windcraft Festival\, Rialto World Music Festival\, Aglajazz Festival etc. The band has collaborated with prominent personalities of the European Jazz and World music scene such as\, Nils Fischer and Alberto Caisedo.\nEntrance: €16/€10 (under 18)\nOnline tickets at www.technopolis20.com\nInformation at 70002420.
