The unique box CD «Bernd Alois Zimmermann – Recomposed» featuring orchestrations by Bernd Alois Zimmermann of works by different composers with the WDR Sinfonieorchester Cologne (WERGO) recently received two of the most prestigious French recording awards (Diapason d’Or and Choc de Classica)\, as well as the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik. A recording of works by Webern and Schönberg with the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne (Fuga libera) was awarded the CHOC de l’Année des Magazins Classica 2022\, as well as the Premio Abbiati della Critica discografica for the best recording of the year 2021. Heinz Holliger’s own opera “Lunea” was released by ECM in 2022.\nAnton Kernjak\nAnton Kernjak grew up in an Austrian family of Slovenian background.\nAn accomplished chamber musician\, he has performed with different partners throughout Europe\, in Canada\, the USA and Japan\, at venues including Tonhalle Zurich\, Konzerthaus Berlin\, WDR Cologne\, Teatro la Fenice\, Venice\, Sumida Triphony Hall\, Tokyo\, Wigmore Hall\, London\, and Carnegie Hall\, New York.\nAnton Kernjak regularly performs with cellist Anita Leuzinger in a duo that was founded a number of years ago. Another important focus of his career is his collaboration with Swiss composers Roland Moser\, Jürg Wyttenbach and Heinz Holliger. His work with Heinz Holliger in particular includes performances\, as well as radio and CD recordings\, of a variety of duo and trio repertoire.\nAnton Kernjak holds a chamber music professorship at the Basel Musikhochschule\, where he has been teaching since 2009.\nHe studied with Christoph Lieske\, Rudolf Buchbinder\, Gérard Wyss and\, for many years\, with the famous Hungarian teacher Ferenc Rados. He also attended masterclasses with Alexander Satz and György Kurtág.\nAnita Leuzinger\nAnita Leuzinger was born in 1982 near Zurich and began to play the cello at the age of five. She studied with Thomas Grossenbacher in Zurich and later with Thomas Demenga in Basel\, where she completed her masters with distinction in 2007. During her studies she received important input from György Kurtág\, Miklós Perényi and Steven Isserlis\, among others. She began piano lessons at the age of five at the Musica Mundana under the guidance of Mrs. Mariola Charitidou. At the age of ten\, she obtained her ABRSM Grade 8 with distinction. From an early age\, Anna has been recognized in international competitions in Cyprus\, Greece\, Germany\, Mexico\, and Russia.\nAt the age of eight\, she won first prize at the 21st International Piano Competition “Evangelia Tziarri.” In the same year\, she received two additional awards in the Panhellenic Competition “Maria Chairoyiorgou-Sigara” and the competition “O Filon” of the Piraeus Cultural Center. In 2014\, he received Second Prize at the Grand Prix Emanuel Feuermann in Berlin. He was a BBC New Generation Artist from 2016-18 and was the Symphoniker Hamburg’s artist-in-residence for the 2019-20 season.\nBorn in Bucharest\, Romania in 1994\, Andrei Ioniță first became a student of Ani-Marie Paladi and later of Prof. Jens Peter Maintz at the University of the Arts (UdK) in Berlin. Andrei performs on a cello made by Filippo Fasser from Brescia.\nIGOR ANDREEV\, PIANO\nIgor Andreev was born in Kaliningrad (former Soviet Union) and discovered his passion for the piano at the age of 5. After first musical impulses in Kaliningrad received from Vladimir Slobodyan\, Igor was promoted at a young age at the Conservatory in St. Petersburg by Prof. Vladimir Suslov. He continued his studies at the University of the Arts in Berne in the class of Prof. Tomasz Herbut\, where he devoted himself to the chamber music at the same time.\nIn 2017\, Igor completed his Master Specialized studies at the Bern University of the Arts and received the Tschumi Prize for the best graduate. Since then\, he was developing artistically with Konstantin Lifschitz in Lucerne\, where Igor is currently working as his assistant\, and with Vovka Ashkenazy in Lugano.\nAs a soloist and chamber musician Igor performs in concert halls throughout the world. He gives concerts as a soloist with symphony orchestras such as Orchestre de la Suisse Romande\, L’Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi\, L’Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto\, Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra\, Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Sopot\, Sinfonie Orchester Biel Solothurn\, Zakhar Bron Festival Orchester\, Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava\, Kaliningrad State Symphonic Orchestra\, Kaunas Chamber Orchestra and others.\nIgor was a participant of programs of the Rotary club and Lions club of Germany and different projects of Gartow-Foundation. So\, he regularly appears on pianoforte with Gertrud Weinmeister\, former solo violist of the Concentus Musicus Vienna under Nikolaus Harnoncourt\, for example at the professor’s concert at the Bern Conservatory in 2017 or at the Millstätter Music Weeks 2019 in Austria.\nDue to his intense work and aspiration to historically informed interpretation\, Igor was invited to prepare the long-awaited Urtext edition and completion of Michail Glinka’s sonata for viola/ violin and piano commissioned by “Partitura” publishing house.\nPublished in February 2021\, the work was awarded a grant from the Culture Commission of the City of Bern.\nIn 2022\, together with Thomas Gerber\, Igor successfully released his debut CD on NEOS with the world premiere recordings of works for two pianos by Joachim Raff (for his 200th birthday) and Paul Juon (for his 150th birthday). Ξεκίνησε να σπουδάζει μουσική στην ηλικία των εννέα ετών και ήδη εμφανιζόταν επαγγελματικά στα 15 του\, μοιράζοντας τη σκηνή από νωρίς με θρυλικούς Έλληνες καλλιτέχνες όπως ο Γιώργος Νταλάρας και ο Διονύσης Σαββόπουλος.\nΤο πρώτο του μεγάλο έργο\, Don Canyon\, περιελάμβανε πρωτότυπη μουσική και διεθνείς συνεργασίες. Το ρεπερτόριό της καλύπτει ένα ευρύ φάσμα μουσικών ειδών από την κλασική \, την ποπ\, την γκόσπελ μουσική και το μουσικό θέατρο μέχρι το ελληνικό έντεχνο τραγούδι\, την παραδοσιακή και ρεμπέτικη μουσική.\nΗ Μήδεια δεν θεωρούσε ποτέ τον εαυτό τραγουδοποιό\, αλλά αυτό άλλαξε όταν μετακόμισε στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο το 2021 για να σπουδάσει μουσική όπου παλεύοντας με την εποχιακή κατάθλιψη\, βρήκε καταφύγιο στο γράψιμο.\nΗ Μήδεια βρίσκει έμπνευση στα μικρά και απλά πράγματα της ζωής. Όταν βρίσκεται κοντά στη θάλασσα και τον ήλιο\, όταν ακούει τα αγαπημένα της τραγούδια στο αμάξι\, στις μικρές στιγμές της καθημερινότητας με τους δικούς της ανθρώπους\, σε αγαπημένες αναμνήσεις\, σε μέρη και πρόσωπα που της λείπουν και στη συνεχή νοσταλγία της για τις στιγμές που δεν μπορούμε να επιστρέψουμε. Μέσα από τη μουσική της αποκαλύπτει τον πιο ειλικρινή\, προσωπικό και αγνό εαυτό της. Ξεκίνησε να σπουδάζει μουσική στην ηλικία των εννέα ετών και ήδη εμφανιζόταν επαγγελματικά στα 15 του\, μοιράζοντας τη σκηνή από νωρίς με θρυλικούς Έλληνες καλλιτέχνες όπως ο Γιώργος Νταλάρας και ο Διονύσης Σαββόπουλος.\nΤο πρώτο του μεγάλο έργο\, Don Canyon\, περιελάμβανε πρωτότυπη μουσική και διεθνείς συνεργασίες. Αργότερα απέκτησε πτυχίο Μουσικής στην Ερμηνεία Λαϊκής Μουσικής (Κιθάρα) στο Μάντσεστερ του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου\, όπου περιόδευσε με το hard rock συγκρότημα Crude Virtue.\nΑπό τότε που επέστρεψε στην Κύπρο\, ο Θέμης ήταν headliners στο Beer Festival και εμφανίστηκε στους μεγαλύτερους χώρους της Κύπρου\, όπως το Nava Seaside\, το Summer Breeze και το ETKO Warehouse. Ως κιθαρίστας\, συνεχίζει να συνεργάζεται με ένα ευρύ φάσμα καλλιτεχνών\, φέρνοντας ένα μείγμα τεχνικής δεξιότητας και ακατέργαστης σκηνικής ενέργειας σε κάθε παράσταση.\nΟ Παύλος Έλληνας γεννήθηκε στην Πάφο το 2004. Στα 8 του χρόνια άρχισε τα πρώτα μαθήματα πιάνου\, ενώ αργότερα ξεκίνησε και μαθήματα ακορντεόν. Φοίτησε στο μουσικό γυμνάσιο και λύκειο της Πάφου\, όπου και συνέχισε τα μαθήματα του πιάνου και του ακορντεόν. Από τον Ιανουάριο του 2023 έχει στην κατοχή του το πτυχίο Grade 8 του Royal ABRSM στο πιάνο το οποίο πέρασε με distinction.\nΈχει λάβει μέρος σε μουσικούς διαγωνισμούς για πιάνο και ακορντεόν κατακτώντας βραβεία και μετάλλια\, ενώ παράλληλα ασχολείται με τη σύνθεση και την ενορχήστρωση. Christos was trained in the post-bop tradition for which he has a deep appreciation\, and which remains part of his musical persona. His proficiency and personal style in the genre haven’t gone unnoticed by both his peers and listeners alike and have led him to work and record with numerous musicians and projects around the world. Christos was formally trained in The Netherlands where he received a BA degree in Jazz Performance from The Royal Conservatory of The Hague (2013) and an MA degree from Conservatorium van Amsterdam (2015).\nDuring his time there\, he had the honor to share the stage with musicians such as Benjamin Herman\, John Ruocco\, Simon Rigter\, Ben van den Dungen\, and Ben Van Gelder among others.\nIn 2016\, Christos worked with the Eef van Breen Group in cooperation with Het Noord Nederlands Toneel as part of the extremely successful 9-hour theatre production “Borgen” which appeared in all the biggest theaters of the country.\nIn 2017\, he became the head of the piano department at the True School of Music\, one of the biggest music schools in India. AHer graduaIng in middle grade in that conservatory\, in 2015\, he was admitted to the Centro Superior del País Vasco in the specialty of jazz drums\, finishing his studies in 2019. Throughout these four years he spent a brief period at the Kug Conservatory in Graz (Austria). Αργότερα\, ακολούθησε προπτυχιακές μουσικές σπουδές στο Ευρωπαϊκό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου αποκτώντας πτυχίο μουσικής με υψηλή βαθμολογία. Το ενδιαφέρον της για τη σύγχρονη μουσική οδήγησε σε εμφανίσεις σε φεστιβάλ όπως το Φεστιβάλ Σύγχρονης Μουσικής Άρτος\, το 7ο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Σύγχρονης Μουσικής Φάρος\, το πρόγραμμα FlevaRes\, το Φεστιβάλ Σύγχρονης Μουσικής Άβατον. Έχει παρουσιάσει πρεμιέρες νέων έργων σε εκδηλώσεις με το CYSO Ensemble σε συνεργασία με το Κέντρο Κυπρίων Συνθετών. Συχνά προσκεκλημένο μέλος της Συμφωνικής Ορχήστρας του Στροβόλου & του EUC\, έχει συμμετάσχει σε μια μοναδική εκδήλωση με το Σύνολο Πνευστών του Christopher Newport University. Το συγκρότημα αποτελείται από τρεις έμπειρους και ταλαντούχους μουσικούς από την Κύπρο: τον Νατά Χατζηανδρέου στα κρουστά\, τον Δημήτρη Γιασεμίδη στο φλάουτο\, το τρομπόνι και τα ηλεκτρονικά\, και τον Σάββα Θωμά επίσης στα κρουστά και τα φωνητικά. Αυτοί οι καλλιτέχνες δραστηριοποιούνται στις μουσικές σκηνές της Κύπρου και όχι μόνο. Προερχόμενοι από διαφορετικά μουσικά υπόβαθρα\, συνεργάζονται για να προσφέρουν στο κοινό έναν φρέσκο\, σύγχρονο ήχο.\nΟι Nābu Pēra προσπαθούν να προωθήσουν τη σύγχρονη κυπριακή μουσική τόσο σε τοπικό όσο και σε διεθνές επίπεδο.\nΗ παράστασή τους “Soundscapes of Nicosia” είναι μια πρωτότυπη εξερεύνηση των καθημερινών ήχων που μας περιβάλλουν. Το κοινό θα μεταφερθεί σε ένα μοναδικό μουσικό ταξίδι μέσα από ένα συνδυασμό φυσικών και ηλεκτρονικών ήχων. Η παράσταση περιλαμβάνει μια ποικιλία πνευστών οργάνων (όπως φλάουτο\, τρομπόνι και duduk) και ένα ευρύ φάσμα κρουστών οργάνων (όπως βιμπράφωνο\, μπεντίρ\, ρεκ και κογκά)\, που συμπληρώνονται από ηλεκτρονικά στοιχεία που δημιούργησε η Nābu Pēra. Αυτός ο ποικιλόμορφος συνδυασμός ήχων\, που αντλεί επιρροές από ένα πλήθος μουσικών ειδών και αναδεικνύει το ταλέντο τριών μουσικών με διαφορετικό υπόβαθρο\, προσφέρει μια ακουστική εμπειρία σπάνια στην Κύπρο.
