DESCRIPTION:Το έργο Πανδώτειρα\, σε συνεργασία με την ομάδα Los Vagabundos\, σε προσκαλεί σε εκπαιδευτική πεζοπορία στο μονοπάτι «Τεισιά της Μαδαρής». Έλα μαζί μας για να μάθεις για τη βιοποικιλότητα και τη γεωλογία της περιοχής\, απολαμβάνοντας την πανέμορφη διαδρομή και τα εντυπωσιακά σημεία θέας.\n>> Κυριακή 29 Μαρτίου 2026\, Μονοπάτι «Τεισιά της Μαδαρής». Εκκίνηση στις 10:00. \nΔες το σημείο στάθμευσης / εκκίνησης εδώ. Λόγω περιορισμένου χώρου στάθμευσης προτείνεται η συνεπιβίβαση (carpooling) προς την τοποθεσία. \nΚατά την πεζοπορία\, μέλη της ομάδας του έργου Πανδώτειρα θα μας μιλήσουν για τις προστατευόμενες περιοχές της Κύπρου\, τη χλωρίδα\, την πανίδα και την πτηνοπανίδα που φιλοξενεί η συγκεκριμένη προστατευόμενη περιοχή\, καθώς και για τη μοναδική γεωλογία της περιοχής. \nΤο μονοπάτι είναι εύκολο\, μήκους 3 km\, κυκλικό και έχει διάρκεια περίπου 2 ώρες\, μαζί με τις ενημερωτικές στάσεις. \nΜάθε περισσότερα και δήλωσε συμμετοχή πατώντας εδώ. \nΣημεία ενδιαφέροντος\nΗ διαδρομή προσφέρει εκπληκτική θέα προς το Ακρωτήρι και την αλυκή της Λεμεσού\, αλλά και τον Πενταδάκτυλο\, την Κερύνεια και τον Κόλπο της Μόρφου. Θα περπατήσουμε ανάμεσα σε αόρατους και ενδημικές λατζιές και θα παρατηρήσουμε τα αγριολούλουδα της εποχής\, όπως τις πανέμορφες ορχιδέες. Επίσης θα μάθουμε για τα είδη πουλιών της περιοχής και θα έχουμε την ευκαιρία να παρατηρήσουμε με κιάλια είδη\, όπως τον Σπιζαετό\, τη Σκαλιφούρτα\, την Κίσσα\, τον Πέμπετσο και τον Δεντροβάτη. \nΤέλος\, μερικές σύντομες στάσεις θα μας επιτρέψουν να παρατηρήσουμε σημεία φυσικού και γεωλογικού ενδιαφέροντος. Ήξερες ότι… \nΟι προστατευόμενες περιοχές «ΕΖΔ Μαδαρή – Παπούτσα» και «ΖΕΠ Βουνοκορφές Μαδαρής – Παπούτσας»\, μέσα στις οποίες βρίσκεται το μονοπάτι\, φιλοξενούν 40 από τα 131 είδη ενδημικών φυτών της Κύπρου\, καθώς και πολλά μεταναστευτικά και άλλα σημαντικά είδη πουλιών που φωλιάζουν εκεί.\nΣε ολόκληρη τη διαδρομή γύρω από τα «Τεισιά της Μαδαρής» εμφανίζονται φλεβικά πυριγενή πετρώματα και είναι μία από τις πιο εντυπωσιακές εμφανίσεις του πετρώματος αυτού. Οι σχεδόν κατακόρυφοι βράχοι ξεπροβάλλουν σαν τείχη στις βουνοκορφές.\nΣτο τέλος της πεζοπορίας θα προσφέρονται ροφήματα. \nΤην εκπαιδευτική πεζοπορία θα προσφέρουν μέλη της ομάδας του έργου Πανδώτειρα από το Terra Cypria και το BirdLife Cyprus.

DESCRIPTION:Η ομάδα Cyprus from air σήκωσε εκατοντάδες άτομα από τον καναπέ και τους ”ανάγκασε” να αγαπήσουν το περπάτημα στο βουνό. \nΜας σύστησαν γνωστά και άγνωστα μονοπάτια της Κύπρου και μας απέδειξαν περίτρανα ότι και σε καιρό παγκόσμιας περιβαλλοντικής κρίσης\, υπάρχουν ακόμα άτομα που μπορούν να μας γνωρίσουν το νησί μας και μαζί τους να το περπατήσουμε παθκιά παθκιά\, να ανακαλύψουμε τις φυσικές ομορφιές του\, να έρθουμε πιο κοντά στη φύση και συνάμα να μάθουμε να τη σεβόμαστε λίγο περισσότερο. Απόδειξη αυτού\, οι χιλιάδες πεζοπόροι που βρέθηκαν στο μονοπάτι Άρτεμις κατά την τελευταία διοργάνωση της ομάδας. \nΌσο για την επόμενη\, αυτή μας προσκαλεί για νυχτερινό περπάτημα κάτω από το φως της πανσελήνου… \nΣτις 6 Σεπτεμβρίου λοιπόν έχουμε πάλι πανσέληνο\, οπόταν η ομάδα Cyprus from Air μας προσκαλεί ξανά για ένα ακόμα νυκτερινό περπάτημα\, σε μία πραγματικά μοναδική τοποθεσία\, στα Τεισιά της Μαδαρής. \nΜε απίστευτη θέα και με το φως του φεγγαριού…. περπατάμε στη φύση!

SUMMARY:Evening hike on the Teisia of Madaris Path
DESCRIPTION:A few words about our route: \nOur route will start early in the afternoon from the Cyprus Handicraft Center in Nicosia and we will head towards the end of the dead-end dirt road to Madari near the fire station of the Forestry Department. The route is narrow at the beginning but after 200 meters it becomes smooth. There are short uphills and downhills\, which are not particularly tiring and in some places\, steps have been built. Also\, in the path at many points\, there are benches for rest as well as viewpoints. where we can enjoy the panoramic view of Troodos and many villages in the area. After completing our circular route and returning to the fire station\, we will drink a glass of wine with a view of the sunset to end our day as it deserves! You can also bring your own snack or lunch and enjoy the relaxation with the mountain in the background. \nPoints of interest: \nView and Landscape:\nAlong the route\, the visitor enjoys panoramic views of Troodos\, Mesaoria and the lower points of Solia. In close-up\, the villages of Kannavia\, Saint Irini\, the Xyliatos dam\, Lagoudera\, Polystypos stand out\, while at the end of the route\, Pitsilia and the Limassol district open up before us. It is a landscape that combines mountains and greenery. \nFlora and Vegetation:\nThe vegetation of Madari is reminiscent of the Troodos forest in many places\, but it also has characteristics that are unique to the region. Along the route\, Latzia shrubs (Quercus alnifolia) dominate\, which in some places are so dense that they do not allow other species to thrive. At the same time\, we encounter the Trachea Pine (Pinus brutia) and the rare Madari Juniper (Juniperus excelsa). \nThe variety of plants is impressive: from wild rose and wild apple trees to the endemic Nepeta of Troodos\, the peony that blooms in spring\, and the Cyprus cyclamen (Cyclamen cypricum). \nGeology and “Teisia of Madari”:\nOne of the most impressive elements of the route are the imposing vertical rocks – known as “Teisia of Madari”. This is a rare geological phenomenon created by the successive intrusion of magma and the differential erosion of rocks over millions of years. These rocks are part of the Multiple Vein System and are formed mainly of diabase and microgabbro. Today\, they stand like natural walls\, creating a setting of unique beauty and scientific importance. \nHiking characteristics: \nStarting point: End of the dead-end road to Madari near the Forest Department fire station \nLength: 3 km \nTime: 2 hours \nDifficulty level: 2 Moderate \nForm: Circular \nAltitude of the highest point: 1550m \nParticipation cost (per person): \n25 euros (hiking\, organization\, a glass of wine & bus transportation) \n** Payment will be made on the bus (Ignore the automatic payment message you will receive). \nThe price includes: \nGuide and organization\nTrainers specialized in outdoor activities\nBus transportation from Nicosia with return\nFirst aid kit\nHiking\nA glass of wine\nYou must have with you: \nMountaineering or Good sports shoes\nMountaineering pants or leggings\nSecond shirt\, socks\, a small towel (change)\nSnacks and Water\nBackpack\nWaterproof jacket (necessary)\nHat\, sunglasses\, sunscreen\nTissues\nTrekking Pole (optional)\nCamera (optional)\nNote 1. For the best operation of the event and for safety reasons\, participants must comply with the instructions of the escorts. \nNote 3. In case of cancellation of the event due to bad weather conditions\, the excursion will be transferred to another date. Participants who cannot participate on the specific date will be refunded. However\, if the weather conditions still do not allow the event to take place\, the event will be permanently canceled and everyone will be refunded.
